Mr. Tomoyoshi Koume
Project Manager, UNIDOMr. Koume obtained MA in Public Policy and Management in the University of Manchester in UK. He worked as business development manager in Japanese multinational corporation for four years and then served as Project Coordinator for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)’s “KAIZEN” project in Ethiopia for two years. Mr. Koume joined UNIDO in 2014 and served as an Associate Industrial Development Officer in the Department of Trade, Investment and Innovation since then. He is the project manager of Uday-Pride Project for Automotive Cluster Development Programme.
Ms. Rekha Jain
National Programme Manager, UNIDOAcademically & professionally qualified with an MBA (Production & Operations Management) coupled with a degree in B.E(Electronics and Communication Engineering); with a total experience of 20+ years in European (Franco-Italian) and US based MNCs in semiconductor industry. Currently spearheading efforts with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), as National Programme Manager in Uday-Pride Project for Automotive Cluster Development Programme. Her current profile mainly includes day to day management of the Program and co-ordination with the donor (Ministry of Heavy Industries) and other counterparts like Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) and other relevant stakeholders.
Mr. K Chandrasekhar
Advisor, UNIDOMr. K. Chandrasekhar is a B. Tech from IIT, Madras. He joined Tata Motors in 1974 as a graduate engineer trainee. His experience of more than 36 years covers the range of Automotive Manufacturing Practices – from foundries (grey/nodular iron and aluminium), vendor development and supplier quality, machine shops (engine and transmissions) & press shops to vehicle assembly and testing.
Apart from technical competencies in the above-mentioned areas, he has proven capabilities in resource management and leadership development. He has effectively handled over 300 engineers and staff. He was also responsible for implementation of the Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) for the enterprise processes.
He superannuated in June 2011 as Quality Head (CVBU-Commercial Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors Pune).
He is currently associated with UDAY PRIDE (UNIDO-ACMA Partnership Program – in partnership with Dept. of Heavy industry, Govt. of India) for upgrading small and medium-sized automotive component manufacturers in India. This program assists in facilitating their inclusion into national, regional and global supply chains. It also helps meeting relevant supply chain requirements with regard to quality, cost, and delivery, energy efficiency and environmental management standards. He headed a delegation of ACMA counsellors to Toyota, Japan to get a first-hand idea of the “Toyota Production System” and how this is extended to suppliers to Toyota.
Mr. Sushil Sharma
Head Program, ACMAMr. Sushil Sharma has over three and a half decade of professional experience. Currently he is engaged with ACMA and providing guidance in Manufacturing Excellence Practices to automotive component and automobile OEMs. During his tenure with ACMA he has guided about 150 companies in last 3 years.
Mr. Sushil has worked for Maruti Suzuki Pvt. Ltd. For over 22 years on various areas such as Production Engineering, Operations, Quality etc. He was also involved in setting up new manufacturing facilities in Gurgaon Plant. Mr. Sharma is a visionary leader for manufacturing (VLFM) from CII-JAICA and is also a certified Master Trainer for ZED from QCI. He holds MBA in Operations and Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Mr. Aditya Arora
Project Associate, UNIDOMr. Arora has about 5 years of work experience working with various Ministries/Departments of the Government of India. He obtained his Masters in Economics from Symbiosis International University and possess Graduation degree in Computer Applications. Before joining UNIDO, Aditya was working with Agriculture Trade Policy Division in the Ministry of Agriculture in the capacity of Young Professional. He has also worked for over 3 years in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
